At one of yesterday's press conferences Chris Meledandri (producer of upcoming movie 'Despicable Me') confirmed that the stop motion animated version of 'The Addams Family' that will be directed by Tim Burton!
According to Meledandri, the movie is still in the early stages so we shouldn't expect it soon, but still the news itself is very exciting! So it'll be another creepy animation by our favourite director!

The Hollywood Reporter’s – Heat Vision has exclusively reported that John August is in negotiations with DreamWorks to write the studio’s feature film adaptation of 'Monsterpocalypse', a strategy game played with collectible miniature figures.
…the latest development raises the possibility that August will re-team with Tim Burton, whom DreamWorks has been wooing to take on the project as its director. DreamWorks, which grabbed film rights to the 'Monsterpocalypse' property last month, hasn’t yet nailed down the 'Alice in Wonderland' billion-dollar man. Talks are, however, ongoing.
So it's very probable that Tim Burton will accompany John August in creating the 'Monsterpocalypse'! Stay tunned for more info!
It is expected that today Tim Burton newest movie, 'Alice in Wonderland' crosses the magical number of billion dolar mark. The movie earned $332 million in the United States, and another $667 million internationally. The other elite of movies which reached the one billion worldwide are The Avatar, Titanic, The Lord of the Rings: The Return Of The King, The Dark Knight and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.
The nominees have been announced for the MTV Movie awards that are to take place on the 7th June, with Alice In Wonderland being nominated in these categories:
